Raphael Patrick Ekong, MA, LPC
Counselor Raphael Patrick Ekong was born in Nigeria, West Africa. He came to United States in 1994. But, prior to coming, he had experienced neglect and abandonment from his parents that resulted in poor self image toward himself and anger towards them. However, counselor Ekong was able to find healing, forgiveness, and life purpose through God’s help.
Later, he joined the U.S. Navy and was able to receive his Bachelor of Science degree in Workforce Education and Development as well as Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling. He was able to gain employment at the Charleston Center Alcohol and Drug Program as a Clinical Counselor. In addition, Counselor Ekong also gained employment at Carolina Youth Development Center as a Treatment Coordinator.
